Black Crosses off my Wingtip

$19.95

I found this book absolutely fascinating.  I consider it a first-rate piece of work.
Farley Mowat

“Hap” Kennedy was an outstanding fighter pilot during World War II.  He displayed qualities of leadership while still in his early twenties in the European and Malta theatres of war.  It was my privilege to serve with him during the invasion of Normandy.

His book vividly describes the operational activities of fighter pilots during a very tense period of world history.
Lorne Cameron DFC, Squadron Leader
Commanding Officer 401 Squadron RCAF Normandy

I only knew “Hap” for a short time on the Continent after ‘D’ Day.  (He was shot down by anti-aircraft fire in 1944.)  This was after a very successful tour in Malta, Sicily and Italy, where he was awarded a DFC and Bar for gallantry in pressing home his attacks, often in the face of superior odds.  His courage and devotion to all who served under him set a great example.
Wing Commander Dal Russel, DSO, DFC & Bar 126 Wing, RCAF, Normandy
