Maggie Wheeler

Maggie Wheeler has reigned for 20 years as the Seaway Valley’s Queen of Crime, author of the Farran Mackenzie Lost Villages mysteries. She was Co-Creator and Co-Chair of the South Stormont Township’s Beacon 50 six-day celebration marking 50 years since the opening of the St. Lawrence Seaway in 2009. Maggie holds a Masters in English and a Bachelor of Education in English and history. She is author of the midlife blog, Ready For 60? Maggie is also a contributor to Historica Canada’s The Canadian Encyclopedia—the official national online resource for all things Canadiana.

Currently, Maggie is the curator of The Christie Project group on Facebook, a weekly posting and commentary covering all 80 novels and short story collections by the world’s Queen of Crime, Agatha Christie, to celebrate her centennial in print.

2021 marks the 20th anniversary of the introduction of Farran Mackenzie to the unsuspecting Seaway Valley and beyond. Mysterious plans are being plotted to mark this milestone, including the launch of the sixth and final book in the Lost Villages series, All Will Fall Together.
