Edmund Watson

The Language of a Chickadee is Edmund Watson’s debut novel. Inspired by the loss of his father at the age of eighteen, Watson was left with the lingering weight of his father’s final words, I’m fine. Out of these words, and his own journey through grief, this story took shape.

Conversations about suicide and personal grief are often difficult to have, yet all the more necessary. In today’s fast paced world, those facing trauma need spaces and stories that remind them they are not alone.
