Lena was excited to spend the day with her new friend Chenoa. They didn’t know each other very well but soon realized they shared more than time spent at a summer camp. During activities such as a hike in the woods or a bike ride along the Ottawa River the girls were surprised to learn about similarities and differences in their cultural and spiritual practices. A deep bond was created between the two girls as they shared stories and experiences from their Kashubian and Algonquin heritage.
