James Ogle was born in Toronto. Ontario and served in the Royal Canadian Regiment for three years. He has been a correctional officer since 1994, serving in the Toronto Jail and then the Central North Correctional Centre in Penetanguishene, Ontario. And There Shall Be No Holds Barred is his second book, the first being What Manner of Man: Darnell Bass and the Canadian Airborne Regiment.
He lives in Lafontaine, Ontario with his wife Agnes and a family of four-legged children.
