Deirdre McCabe-Berardi
Deirdre McCabe-Berardi was born in New York City and spent most of her childhood in upper Michigan. She is an elementary teacher and lives with her husband and family in Arnpior, Ontario. She loves to watch movies and dance and read true crime and biographies.
As teenagers, her mother and aunt grew up in the chaos of World War II, having been forced out of their native country of Latvia, which was under seige. Their story of growing up was told to Deirdre by her ninety-six-year-old aunt, who is dear to her heart.
