An award-winning journalist, Bob Levin was a features editor at The Globe and Mail in Toronto, executive editor at Maclean’s and a writer at Newsweek in New York. His first novel, Away Game, a baseball-themed story, was released in 2016 to strong reviews. A native Philadelphian and a graduate of the Columbia School of Journalism, he lived in Toronto with his wife and son. Levin, who survived four cancers over four decades, died in 2019 a few months before Theater Near You was published.
