Robert Knuckle was born and raised in Windsor, Ontario. He received his B.A. from the University of Windsor in 1957 and M.Ed. from the University of Toronto in 1968. He began writing full-time in 1992. Prior to that, Mr. Knuckle was an English and Latin teacher and a secondary school vice-principal with the Hamilton Board of Education.
Robert Knuckle is the author of twelve books, four of them for children. Most of his other books are about true crime or tales of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. He has written for radio, television and cinema and won an ACTRA writing award for his radio script I Am Not a Legend, the story of legendary football coach Vince Lombardi. Nine of his stage plays have been produced at major venues in Canada, the USA, and in Europe.
Robert Knuckle resides in Dundas, Ontario, with his wife, Elizabeth. They have four children and seven grandchildren.
