Robert Christy was born and raised in Ottawa, where he currently lives. He moved to other parts of Canada over the years, then as a young adult returned to Ottawa, where he and his wife started their family. Christy began writing before he was a teen and periodically wrote poems or ideas for poetry. Over the years his poetry file grew. Once retired from a career that paid th ebills, he seriously began editing his collection to produce this volume.
His writing efforts with a hopeful focus on publishing were triggered when, near the end of his secondary school years, the publisher-editor of the local weekly newspaper asked him to write about sports in his high school. Much later, when nearing retirement and after, he wrote and had published articles and opinion pieces for the daily press and magazines, often focusing in issues of living and participating in the workforce while coping with challenges of physical and communication disabilities.
He has previously self-published a novel, Gemini Smiled. He is now working on producing a volume of short stories and a stuttering therapy diary.
