Wayne Campbell

Wayne Campbell is a biochemistry graduate from Queen’s and University of Toronto. He spent most of his career as a science writer.editor for government, a freelancer for newspapers (Globe & Mail, Maclean’s, New Scientist), and finally a writer/editor consultant on research submissions for Canadian universities, research hospitals and government. His literary heroes are Shakespeare and Aeschylus, his artistic heroes Tom Thomson and J.M.W Turner. His first book, a coming of age novel, The Scales of Eden, was published in 2018. At 82, Wayne looks back on his life as a carpenter, cyclist, white-water canoer, and traveler. He has two daughters (both writers), a step-son ( a former snowboard champion) and lives semi-retired in Ottawa with Louison, his true love.
