Jamie Bramburger has been involved in media and public relations for more than 30 years. After graduating from a Broadcast Journalism program at Canadore College in North Bay in 1986, Jamie had a successful 13-year broadcasting career in radio and television, mostly as a News Director and radio news anchor. Jamie joined Algonquin College’s Pembroke Campus in 1999 as the Manager of Community and Student Affairs, a position that he continues to hold.
Since the 1989-90 season he has been the voice of the Pembroke Lumber Kings on cable television. He has also called Kings’ games on the radio and internet and for a couple of seasons, he was the team’s public address announcer at home games. His television work has included calling dozens of Lumber Kings games and four Eastern Canadian championships.
Jamie is married to Barb, his wife of more than 30 years. They have two adult children, Jason and Shauna. Jamie and Barb reside in the Pembroke area, not far from the Pembroke Memorial Centre where Jamie spends many nights watching his beloved Lumber Kings.
