    Dear Dr Kate,

I recently purchased your book titled “The Big D”. I liked it, especially how you explained the many facets of death as our society experiences it, in a way that a child could understand.
I was totally surprised then, when showing it to my son-in-law, he asked if I knew what the big D was? Shortly after, I showed it to my adult grandchildren and they laughed and said- “Grandma, what are you reading?” So then I understood how they were reading the title. My granddaughter, in classics & art history in university wondered how that got past the editor!
The little boy in your story asked a number of times, “What is dead?”. Would that be a title option?
I thought you might like to hear how my family first received/reacted to your lovely book.
    Sincerely, Sandy
